Days until we Walk for Life on January 25, 2025

Meehan010810This Monday, November 4, at 4 PM, Walk for Life West Coast Co-Founder Dolores Meehan has been invited to debate UC Berkeley’s Alisha Graves on the subject of abortion.  The debate is sponsored by Berkeley’s Public Health 116, a seminar on Social, Political, and Ethical Issues in Health and Medicine. The seminar is advised and overseen by Professor Malcolm Potts, who had been scheduled to debate Dolores, but organizers notified Dolores  today that he would not be able to attend.

Ms. Graves is the Program Director at Berkeley’s Oasis Initiative. Professor Potts is the founder of the organization. From her bio:

“Alisha Graves leads strategy, development and advocacy efforts for The OASIS Initiative. She completed her MPH in International Maternal and Child Health at the UC Berkeley School of Public Health in 2006. She worked for six years as Senior Program Manager for a non-profit organization to improve access to misoprostol – a generic, essential medicine. In this role, she worked on policy initiatives, drug registration, and operations research across seven countries in Sub-Saharan Africa and Southeast Asia.”

The debate will be held in the Wheeler Auditorium. Map and directions here.
